Terms of Service

Last updated 29 August 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Afristack Smart System Ltd ("AfriAssist", "we", "us"), a company registered in Nigeria, covering your use of afriassist.com and the AfriAssist application.

By creating an account or using the service, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

1. What AfriAssist is

AfriAssist is a software tool that uses artificial intelligence to help you plan, write, generate and publish business and creative content — social posts, scripts, images, music, films and music videos. It works by sending your instructions to third-party AI engines and returning what they produce.

It is a tool, not an adviser. Nothing it produces is professional, legal, financial, medical or business advice. Check anything important before you rely on it.

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • Give us accurate details and keep them current.
  • You are responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your password to yourself.
  • One person or business per account. Do not share, sell or transfer it.
  • Tell us at support@afriassist.com if you think somebody else has got into it.

3. Plans, coins and payment

Coins

Work is metered in coins. Every action shows its coin price before you confirm it. Coins are a prepaid balance for using AfriAssist — they are not money, not a stored-value instrument, and cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred to anybody else.

  • Coins you have bought do not expire while your account is open.
  • Coins included with a subscription are granted for that billing period.
  • If a generation fails through a fault on our side or an engine's, we refund the coins to your balance automatically. That refund is in coins, not cash.
  • Coins spent on a generation that completed are used, whether or not you liked the result. Judgement of quality is subjective and the engine cost has already been paid on your behalf.

Subscriptions

  • Plans are billed in advance for the period shown at checkout.
  • Your plan decides which AI engines you can reach. Some features, including music videos, need a higher plan.
  • You can cancel at any time. Cancelling stops the next charge; it does not refund the current period, and your plan runs to the end of the period you paid for.
  • When a plan lapses, your account drops to the free tier. Your work stays; access to higher-tier engines stops.

Payment

  • Payments are processed by Paystack. We never see or store your card details.
  • Prices are shown in Nigerian Naira and, where displayed, US Dollars. Your bank may add its own fees.
  • We may change prices. Existing subscribers get notice by email before a change affects them.

Refunds

Because generating content costs us real money at the moment you press the button, coins that have been spent are not refundable in cash. If you were charged in error, or the service was unavailable for a sustained period, write to support@afriassist.com within 14 days and we will look at it properly.

4. Your content

You own what you make. AfriAssist claims no ownership of the briefs, scripts, images, audio or video you create here, subject to the rights of the underlying AI providers under their own terms.

You give us a limited licence to store, process and transmit your content solely to run the service for you — sending it to an engine, saving it, showing it back to you, and publishing it where you tell us to. That licence ends when you delete the content.

You promise that:

  • You have the right to everything you upload, including reference photographs, audio and brand material.
  • You have permission from any identifiable person whose likeness or voice you upload.
  • Your content does not infringe anybody's copyright, trademark or privacy.

5. AI-generated output

  • Output is not guaranteed to be unique. Another user giving a similar instruction may receive similar output.
  • Output can be wrong. AI models invent facts, misspell names, and misread instructions. Review before publishing.
  • You are responsible for what you publish. Once content leaves AfriAssist for YouTube, TikTok or anywhere else, it is yours and it is your name on it.
  • Where the law or a platform requires you to disclose that content is AI-generated, that disclosure is your responsibility.

6. What you may not do

Do not use AfriAssist to create or publish:

  • Content that impersonates a real person, or uses their face or voice without permission.
  • Sexual content involving minors, or any sexual content involving a real person without their consent.
  • Deliberate disinformation, election manipulation, or content designed to defraud.
  • Harassment, threats, or content inciting violence or hatred against a group.
  • Anything that infringes copyright or trademark.
  • Anything illegal under Nigerian law or the law where you are.

Also do not:

  • Resell, sublicence or white-label AfriAssist without a written agreement with us.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer the service, scrape it, or access it other than through the interfaces we provide.
  • Use automated means to create accounts or claim free coins repeatedly.
  • Attack, overload or probe our systems.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, and where we do so for serious abuse, unused coins are forfeited.

7. Connected platforms

When you connect YouTube, TikTok or another account, you authorise us to publish on your behalf — but only when you press Publish and choose that platform. We never post without your instruction.

Those platforms have their own rules. Following them is your responsibility, and we are not liable if a platform removes your content, restricts your account, or changes its API in a way that breaks publishing. You can disconnect any platform at any time.

8. Availability

We work to keep AfriAssist running, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. It depends on third-party AI engines, payment processors and hosting providers, any of which can fail, change their terms, raise their prices, or withdraw a model. We may add, change or remove engines and features. Where a change materially reduces what a paid plan gives you, we will tell you.

9. Liability

The service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

We are not liable for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or any indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

10. Ending the agreement

  • You may close your account at any time from your account settings, or by writing to us.
  • We may suspend or close your account for a breach of these terms, for suspected fraud, or where required by law — with notice where it is reasonable to give it.
  • On closure, your content is deleted. Export anything you want to keep first.
  • Sections 4, 5, 9 and 11 survive the end of this agreement.

11. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Nigeria have exclusive jurisdiction. Before going to court, please write to support@afriassist.com — most things are settled faster that way.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes, and for anything significant we will email you or tell you in the application at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use AfriAssist after that means you accept the new terms.
